The ingredients for date cake:
- 75 gram light brown caster sugar;
- 50 gram walnuts; in pieces
- 20 gram honey;
- 20 gram grated coconut;
- 110 gram unsalted butter; melted
- 250 gram dates; in pieces
- 1 egg;
- 80 gram biscuits; in pieces
How to make date cake?
- Slowly melt the light brown caster sugar and the unsalted butter in a pan. Note: Make sure you only melt the light brown caster sugar and the unsalted butter don't let it go too fast.
- Slowly add the date bit by bit while whisking until you have a smooth mixture.
- Slowly add the walnut, the honey and the biscuit bit by bit while whisking until you have a smooth mixture.
- Slowly add bit by bit while whisking until you have a smooth mixture.
- Pour mixture of the light brown caster sugar, the walnut, the honey, the unsalted butter, the date, the egg and the biscuit in the cake mold.
- Sprinkle with the grated coconut for decoration.
- Keep in the fridge for at least 120 minutes. After this time it's ready to use.
