Tom kha kai

The ingredients for tom kha kai:

  • 320 gram chicken breasts; in strips
  • 1 liter chicken stock;
  • 200 gram shiitake; in strips
  • 400 milliliter coconut milk;
  • 20 gram ginger; sliced
  • 1 chili pepper; sliced
  • 2 stems sereh; in pieces
  • 20 gram brown sugar;
  • 15 milliliter fish sauce; in pieces
  • 15 milliliter lime juice;
  • 2 cloves garlic; pressed
  • 150 gram bean sprouts;

How to make tom kha kai?

  1. Add the chicken stock, the coconut milk, the ginger, the chili pepper, the sereh and the garlic to a soup pan
  2. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium temperature.
  3. Add the chicken breast
  4. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the shiitake
  6. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
  7. Flavor with the brown sugar, the fish sauce and the lime juice
  8. Add the bean sprouts
  9. Your dish is ready, enjoy!
