The ingredients for gnocchi with bacon bits in creamy sauce:
- 1 kilo gnocchi; Note! Quantities below are for 4 portions.
- 1 kilo potatoes; unpeeled
- 2 egg yolks;
- 50 gram Grana Padano; grated
- 150 gram gluten free flour;
- water;
- 250 gram bacon bits;
- 10 gram sage; only the leaves
- 250 milliliter cooking cream;
- 100 gram Grana Padano; grated
How to make gnocchi with bacon bits in creamy sauce?
- Prepare the gnocchi.
- Grab a new pan.
- Add the potato
- Boil for 45 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes.
- Let it cool down.
- Peel the potatoes.
- Mash the potatoes.
- Mix the potato, the egg yolk and the Grana Padano.
- Add the gluten free flour bit by bit while kneading until you get a good elastic texture. You might need a bit more gluten free flour or a bit less.
- Divide the mixture into separate portions and roll into rolls 1.5cm thick. Cut each roll into 1.5cm long pieces and roll them over the outside of a fork to create a nice pattern on the little cushions you've created.
- Your result is ready for further use.
- Boil the gnocchi for 2 minutes.
- Drain the gnocchi.
- Preheat the oven at 200°C.
- Grab a new pan.
- Fru the bacon bits until they are crispy.
- Add the sage and the cooking cream
- Let it boil for 10 minutes.
- Create one layer of the gnocchi in a baking dish
- Add the bacon bits, the sage and the cooking cream
- Add a layer of Grana Padano.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
