Paella

The ingredients for paella:

  • Sofrito;
    Note! Quantities below are for 4 portions.
    • 2 onions; chopped
    • 4 cloves garlic; chopped
    • 400 gram peeled tomatoes; canned
    • 2 teaspoons paprika;
    • 1 splashes olive oil;
  • 600 gram risotto rice;
  • 2 liter fish stock;
  • 1 onion; chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic; chopped
  • 250 gram chorizo; cut in half moon slices
  • 250 gram chicken thigh filets; in cubes
  • 300 gram shellfish;
  • 150 gram green peas; frozen
  • olive oil;
  • 1 table spoons turmeric;
  • pepper;
  • sea salt; grinded
  • 2 lemons;

How to make paella?

  1. Prepare Sofrito.
    1. Add the olive oil to the pan.
    2. Lightly fry the onion and the garlic in the pan until translucent.
    3. Add the paprika and fry shortly while stirring.
    4. Add the peeled tomatoes
    5. Let it boil for 20 minutes.
    6. Your result is ready for further use.
  2. Grab a new pan.
  3. Add the olive oil to the pan.
  4. Lightly fry the onion and the garlic in the pan until translucent.
  5. Add the risotto rice and fry shortly while stirring.
  6. Add Sofrito and the turmeric and fry shortly while stirring.
  7. Add the fish stock
  8. Let it boil for 20 minutes until the risotto rice is cooked.
  9. Grab a new pan.
  10. Add the olive oil to the pan.
  11. Add the chorizo and fry on medium temperature until colored.
  12. Add the chicken thigh filet and cook for 5 minutes.
  13. Add the shellfish and cook for 2 minutes.
  14. Add the green pea and cook for 3 minutes.
  15. Flavor with the pepper and the sea salt
  16. Add the risotto rice and cook for 5 minutes.
  17. Serve with lemons.
  18. Your dish is ready, enjoy!
